As a 1st year PhD student in Arnaud Hubstenberger’s lab, Chloé is dedicating her time to better understand the relationship between translational repression and mRNA condensation during aging.
For her first intervention at the iBV PhD/Post-Doc Club, Chloé introduced our community to Weka, a powerful machine learning tool implemented in Fiji that enables pixel-based image segmentation. Weka offers a user-friendly interface that integrates a wide range of algorithms and allows to choose the most appropriate one depending on the type of data and segmentation problem. Its little plus ? Weka’s integration with ImageJ allows the automation of segmentation tasks, saving time and increasing the reproducibility of analyses.
If you’re interested in a practical example of how to use Weka, feel free to check out Chloé’s presentation on the iBV common server.
