Pierre-Louis, currently a 2nd year PhD student in Dr. Ez-Zoubir AMRI’s lab, took advantage of our club’s young researchers community to share his work before attending to the GERLI Lipidomics Meeting. Employing a combination of in vivo genetic and metabolic analyses, Pierre-Louis dedicates his research to the understanding of mechanisms involved in adipose tissue remodelling to develop therapeutics targeting obesity. More specifically, Pierre-Louis tries to identify molecular actors responsible for the activation and formation of brown adipose tissue (BAT). By harnessing the thermogenic properties of BAT, Pierre-Louis aims to pave the way to therapeutics that effectively manage and control fat mass.
For further insights into Pierre-Louis’s research, you can access his detailed presentation on the iBV common server.
