Julien is a 2nd-year PhD student in Dr. Ez-Zoubir Amri’s team, where he focuses on advancing the assessment of healthy aging. Since healthy aging cannot be directly measured, Julien’s research explores its physiological indicators. By combining neuromuscular measurements, immune profiling, and metabolic evaluations, he aims to capture an individual’s vitality capacity — a reflection of how well someone is aging.

Julien is currently measuring the vitality capacity of healthy elderly individuals who are either ultra-active or not. Looking ahead, Julien plans to investigate whether CD4+ T cell metabolism is linked to vitality capacity. For now, his participants’ PBMCs are safely stored at -80 °C, awaiting further analysis.
