DESCRIPTION:From EMBL\, Heidelberg (DEU) \nwill give a seminar entitled : \nShaping Cells and Tissues: from Embryonic Development to Synthetic Morphogenesis \n  \nAbstract: \nDuring organismal development cells undergo complex intracellular reorganization and changes in shape whose causal relationship to individual morphogenetic processes remains unclear. In my presentation\, I will discuss principles of synthetic morphogenesis\, that is the engineering of gene circuits and signal systems to re-construct and direct morphogenesis. I will focus on input-output relationships linking developmental signaling and tissue morphogenesis during early Drosophila development.
