SUMMARY:Austin SMITH
DESCRIPTION:From\, The Living Systems Institute\, University of Exeter; UK \nWill give a seminar entitled: \nThe Design of Pluripotency \n  \n  \nSummary \nAustin Smith is a Medical Research Council Professor and the Director of the Living Systems Institute at the University of Exeter in UK. His research interest is pluripotent stem cell biology and aims to model and dissect in vitro the developmental program from naïve pluripotency to lineage-committed progenitors. For that purpose\, his group developed a pluridisciplinary research with strong collaborations with bioengineers\, biophysicists\, bioinformaticians and computational modelers. Austin Smith was awarded the prestigious Louis Jeantet Prize for Medicine and the International Society for Stem Cell Research Innovation award.
